The Installation

The MOSQUITO NIGHT performance took place on digitally printed floor (4 metres x 5 metres) designed by Emily Campbell, featuring imagery of tropical plants and insects, pools and puddles. Outside performance times the performance space could be visited as an Installation; the floorscape could be visited, walked on and examined more closely.

A series of six wall mounted interpretation panels designed by Emily Campbell also formed part of the Installation.

A soundpiece by Richard Urbanski played as part of the Installation. The soundpiece brings together sections of an interview with Professor Chris Curtis recorded at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, other sounds recorded at the LSHTM, an extract from a Unicef podcast, an extract from ‘Learn Hindi from Bollywood Movies podcast’, sections of interviews with Dr Angela Priestman, Christine Watkins and Julian Meredith and sung extracts by the Voice Squad choir and Mary Keith.
